Logistics for “Billie Jo & The Distractions”
Stage/Floor Space Required
Preferred but not mandatory stage size is 15' X 20' allowing for our public address (PA) system and stage lighting. If performing outdoors, a tent or covered area is required.
Playing Time and Break Time
We play 2 to 4 sets of music with approximately 15 minute breaks between each set. The length of each set averages approximately 45 minutes but can be shortened to allow for special announcements, toasts, etc. Of course, if the dance floor is going strong, you can expect the band to stay strong and continue playing longer than a typical set. We’re happy to play recorded music during the breaks if requested in advance.
Special Song Requests
We’re happy to learn a song or 2 for your event at no additional charge, provided we have at least three weeks advance notice. However, due to many variables in learning and performing new material not chosen by the band, we may suggest to our clients to play the original recording(s) over the PA system if we feel the original recording would be best.
Dress Code for Your Event
As always, we want to make our clients happy. We are flexible and happy to wear the attire requested by our clients for the event. Casual, semi-formal to formal. Our fee may be slightly higher if Tuxedos are required.
The Band during Your Dinner/Cocktail Hour, Etc.
Recorded music will be played through our PA system during dinner/cocktail hour. We will arrive 2 hours before your event begins and will leave approximately 2 hours after your event has ended. Because of the time we will invest, including travel time, a lot of our clients will make arrangements to provide a meal for the band. It's suggested that the band be seated close to the main event so that we may be helpful to you with special announcements, toasts, etc. through our PA system.
Fees and Deposit
A non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit will insure your specific date. Our fees and deposits are always negotiable. We'll do our best to work within your budget.
